Denotative Analysis

·         On the contents page there are multiple    busy images.

·         There are relevant page numbers

·         Detailed letter from the editor explaining the new upcoming chart details. Signed with the editor’s signature at the end.

·         There is a variety of fonts , bold for the page numbers

·         A lot of information on how to subscribe information 

·         Title issue name date, headers and footers and page numbers.

Connotative Analysis

·         The busy images help create excitement and make it readable. The big image makes people want to be a part of the event as it looks wild and funny.

·         The relevant colour scheme and recurring image of the title creates cohesion, bringing the magazine together and unites it.

·         The variety of fonts work for different reasons. The bold fonts are for exciting ‘cover stories’ attracting the reader to the inside of the magazine effectively.

·         The subscribing information keeps the interaction between audience and the editorial team

·         The extra part including the letter from the editor adds a personal touch, and the signature helps to seem like the magazine is written for that one reader.
